Retail - Ed Hardy, NJ

My career in business began in November 2009 at the once-famed and trendy clothing store Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier at the Jersey Shore Premium Outlets in Tinton Falls, NJ. I began as a seasonal stock associate for the holidays and within 4 months I was promoted to a part time sales associate. Working in that role for about a year, I won several employee of the month awards often falling within the top 3 sales associates out of every outlet mall location in sales. Within a year I was promoted to Part Time Key Holder because of my ability to lead by example, take initiatives that provided growth, and leading the sales team month over month. While in college pursuing a business degree, I received the opportunity to interview for the Store Manager position at 20 years old, however I declined it due to my expectations and goals of furthering my education to receive my degree and go elsewhere. By the time the company closed down in January of 2013, I had amassed over $330,000 in sales over a 3 year span as a sales rep. of the company.

Promoter & Emcee

In the spring of 2010 a bunch of friends from my hometown put together a home-grown DJ event at a historical venue, The Stone Pony, in Asbury Park, NJ. I attended the event, got drunk, went up on stage with my friends who were spinning, grabbed the mic, and instantly became they emcee/hype-man for the event and all events that followed. I got my first taste in the promoter game, as the event became known as Hype Night, and I led the promotion and ticket sales team for 3 more events over the next 2 years. Our 4th and final event grew to almost 2,000 people at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ with headliner KDrew, an up-and-coming producer from the area.

In February of 2013, I took chance on a promoter job at The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, NJ where I held that role for a year and excelled beyond expectations before becoming a Nightlife Coordinator, a glorified promoter with responsibilities. I held that title for 2 years servicing a Top-15 nightclub in the country from a VIP perspective. At the a same time while attending Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, I was the emcee for Landmark Americana Tap & Grill & nightclub, as well the emcee and entertainment manager for Bally’s Beach Bar on the Boardwalk at Bally’s Casino in the summer of 2015 before leaving for a gig in Las Vegas, NV in early 2016.

Las Vegas, NV

After leaving Atlantic City, NJ on NYE 2016 for a gig in Las Vegas, NV, I served in a Pool & Nightlife Operations role at the Tropicana Las Vegas. After launching the newest day club party on the world renown Las Vegas Strip, Sky Beach Club, I was transferred to a top premier local’s casino, the M Resort,  in June 2016 where I held the same role. Prior to my transfer to the M Resort the department lost $250,000 the year prior and by the end of my first summer, along with the team we built, we pulled in nearly a $600,000 swing to profit over $300k. At the end of 2017 we nearly doubled that profit number. After being promoted to become one of the youngest General Managers at 26 years old, I oversaw an operation generating nearly $3 million staffing 150+ employees. I, along with the critical help of several others, built an operation budgeted to eclipse $700,000, nearly a $1,000,000 flip in only 2 years. At the end of the 2018 season I decided to take a bigger leap and move onto the next chapter, Bars General Manager at the Hard Rock Hotel in Downtown, San Diego.

Wake Up And Work, L.L.C.

While in Las Vegas and working at the M Resort, I began the journey into my own business venture in November of 2016. After revamping my fitness vision and re-focusing my lifestyle around getting better to achieve more, physically & mentally, I began a movement that was intended solely for myself. I work up at 530am to work out before work, worked 10-12 hours at the M, was back in the gym until 1130pm-12am at night, and worked on a business idea until 1am. I did this for 6 days a week for 9 months. I used #WakeUpAndWork on social media and began to see people using it, sending it back to me in a message and thanking me for keeping them motivated. I began to realize I wanted to build a platform to help others and I realized that when I connected my passion (fitness), to my purpose (helping others), I realized I had an opportunity to build that platform. For a month I sent a motivational quote or image to my entire snap chat list of about 500 people to gauge interest around the idea of daily motivation and received great feedback and response, so I started writing a book.

It encompasses my life, what I went through at times whether at school, at home or inside my own head, and how I got to where I am today with the role fitness played in my life to help me grow not only physically, but mentally & emotionally as well. In February 2013, I woke up one day disgusted with the man I saw in the mirror and decided to do something about it, and I worked on myself. I had to figure out the best way to spread the message and get others on the wave that I was riding. I want to help people wake up and work on themselves the way I was able to so they can be happy and successful. I focused around what I loved, fitness, and what I wanted to do the most, motivate, influence, and inspire others, to do the same thing, so I started a clothing company, Wake Up And Work, L.L.C. After grinding hard for 9 straight months on that daily routine of gym, work, gym, business, I launched the company on September 14, 2017 as a full-scale clothing company.

San Diego, CA

After a nearly 3-year stint in Las Vegas, NV with much success as an operator, I moved to San Diego, CA in November 2018 for a General Manager gig of all bars at the Hard Rock Hotel in Downtown, San Diego overseeing a team over 100+ employees, and an $8 million operation including San Diego’s #1 pool club party, Sunburn Pool Lounge, which amasses $2.5 million over the course of 26 separate events. Apart from the GM gig, I still currently own and operate Wake Up And Work, L.L.C. out of San Diego which has been worn and supported by the likes of several professional athletes and bodybuilders such as 4x Mr. Olympian Champion Jay Cutler, Philadelphia Eagle’s and Baltimore Raven’s players Rick Lovato and Bennet Jackson, as well as one of  MTV’s the Jersey Shore star, DJ Pauly D, amongst others.
